With the departure of the Sisters of Mercy from Yass, there is now an opportunity for the Yass Parish to purchase the former residence of the Sisters, at 106 Meehan Street (alongside the Church on the Comur Street side). Father Peter, the Parish Finance Committee and the Pastoral Council have been considering whether such a purchase would be a worthwhile investment for the Parish, and assessing options for financing such a purchase. Fr Peter and the Finance Committee would welcome the views of parishioners, ideally over the next week or so, on these important issues. Please feel free to speak to either Fr Peter, Paul O’Mara or any member of the Parish Finance Committee or Parish Pastoral Council.
