Child Protection Code

All volunteers in the parish are required to be familiar with the Archdiocese’s Child Protection Code of Conduct.

The Child Protection Code of Conduct informs and reminds all employees and volunteers of the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn of the standards of behaviour as well as other requirements that must be adhered to when working with children.

All clergy, employees and volunteers within Parishes, regardless of whether they work with children, are asked to sign the declaration to the Code , and return to their Parish secretary. The declaration is to be signed every three years.

The implementation of this Code of Conduct is a reminder that our children are a gift from God. They are valued and are to be loved, respected and cared for in a manner that meets both the teachings of the Gospel and the expectations of our community.
