Thoughts from the presbytery – 27 December

The music at Gunning, Yass and Murrumbateman this Christmas was the best ever, thanks to our musicians and singers.  Thanks to Di Carey who organized CD’s for Yass and Wee Jasper on Christmas Day.  Helen Murphy, Coral Carroll and Kay Perceval cleaned St. Augustine’s, Sandra Davis and Judith Williams arranged the flowers and Peter Cleary the decorations.  To acolytes, servers, readers and all involved with the ceremonies, many thanks.  I hope all parishioners has a joyful Christmas.

We received donations of $10,000, $1,000, $1,000, $400 and $200 for our work in Timor Leste.  This extraordinary generosity will ensure our commitments to the ongoing work for the poorest in our region can be achieved.

I am also very grateful for the many gifts and cards I received.

New Year’s Day, Mass is at 9am, the solemnity of Mary the Mother of God.
